Nectar 1 already included a very efficient breath masking tool and a pitch editor, probably already coming from Celemony although they didnt communicate on this, so I find a bit strange that they say these tools are novelties.

The interface is for sure much better but for 149 I will pass on.

With all due respect, if any of you ever tried to program something that is remotely lookingsounding like a plugin.

You know how much work it is, just the fact that everyone is trying to be the cheapest doesnt mean Izotope has to be like that.

Probably because in their mind its just software and theyre comparing professional software made by teams with hobbyist programmers who are making iPhone apps and charging just 1.

Price issues aside, which I dont think has anything to do with bedroom mixers or whatever unnecessary labels are placed on those who dont enjoy forking out hard earned funds year after year regardless of earnings, I really like this plugin.

In particular the ease of use of the modules and the very transparent eq.

I rarely liked Izotopes eqs especially the ergonomics but I instantly clicked with this one.

The tuning modules visually is fun and does exactly what I needed it to.

I havent tried abusing it yet for effect or played with the more creative modules yet but so far I can see myself purchasing this down the road for those two elements alone.

I was able to accomplish a lot with only one instance rather than my usual chain of plugs which while equally as good require more insert space.

I havent really settled on anything from Izotope since Ozone 5 and sold Neutron after only using it on one project with no regrets.

The most notable feature here imo is the harmonic pitch-tracking dynamic eq.

This is an extremely useful ability for an eq and something you basically wont find anywhere else outside of SoundRadix SurferEQ, a standalone EQ plugin that costs the same price that gets you a full FX suite with Nectar 3.

N3s implementation seems to work very well and the gui is extremely intuitive and easy to use.

Doesnt seem quite as versatile as SurferEQ, which can have the eq bands follow the pitch of a sidechain input, but is much simpler to use.

I wonder if pitch tracking will be added to the Neutron EQ The Automatic Level Control is an awesome feature as well.
